MEN'S GYMNASTICS PLACES FOURTH IN TEAM COMPETITION AT THE ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP MEET

CHICAGO -- Despite earning four individual first-place finishes in the 2004 ECAC Men's Gymnastics Team Championship meet on Saturday, March 20, the defending champion Owls lacked the depth throughout the lineup needed to repeat history. The Temple men's gymnastics team placed fourth with a 211.425 score in the eight-team competition and advanced seven gymnasts to the final individual competition scheduled for Sunday, March 21 at Chicago-Illinois.
Host Chicago-Illinois won the team competition with a 213.650 score. Army (211.850) finished second, while William and Mary (211.475) took third.
The following Temple gymnasts will advance to the individual finals: senior John Behrle (floor exercise), freshman Alex Gorski (vault), senior Kevin Hallinan (high bar), senior Maes (floor, vault, parallel bars), junior David Ramos (floor, parallel bars, horizontal bar), senior Toros Torcomian (still rings), and junior Nyika White (still rings).
