Temple Tunes Up for A-10s at Delaware

NEWARK, DE - Junior Shanice DePass paced the Owls for the first time in her career, finishing 36th overall, as Temple tuned up for the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday. DePass traversed the 5k course at White Clay Creek Park in a time of 20:29.28 to lead Temple to a 13th place finish.
Freshman Joanna Duffey was second for TU, finishing 45th in a time of 20:41.19. Freshman Ana Gottesfeld (89th, 22:37.94), sophomore Rachael Angstadt (100th, 22:59.82), and sophomore Reava Potter (122nd, 26:34.60) rounded out the top five for the Cherry and White.
Delaware's Julia Somers won the overall title in a time of 18:26.27 to lead the host Blue Hens to the team championship with 62 points. American (71) was second followed by Towson, Hofstra and Northeastern.
The Owls are off next weekend before competing for the conference championship on Saturday, October 28 in Pittsburgh, PA.
