Women's Cross Country Finishes 13th At A-10s

PITTSBURGH, PA - Freshman Joanna Duffey finished 99th overall as the Temple women's cross country team placed 13th at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday morning at Pittsburgh's Schenley Park. Duffey covered the 5k course in a time of 20:40:10 and led Temple for the fifth time this season.
Junior Shanice DePass was the next TU runner to cross the finish line in a time of 21:32.75 to place 116th. Junior Noelle McKenzie (121st, 21:56.05), sophomore Ana Gottesfeld (126th, 22:12.50) and junior Tasahe Croxton (22:17.30, 128th) rounded out the top five for the Cherry and White.
La Salle won the team title with 26 points. Richmond (81), Charlotte (91), Xavier (122), and host Duquesne (155) rounded out the top five.
La Salle's Rachel Papin (17:41.25) won the individual title by 10 seconds over Charlotte's Tsehaye Dagnachew.
The Owls are off next weekend before competing at the NCAA Regional at Lock Haven University on Saturday, November 11.
