OWLS FINISH SECOND IN QUAD MEET HOME OPENER

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's gymnastics team posted a 198.600 score to finish second behind No. 4 Stanford, which had a 211.750 total, Saturday evening in a quad meet at McGonigle Hall. The 15th-ranked Owls placed ahead of
Sophomores Alex Gorski and Sterling Kramer also had impressive showings for the Cherry & White. Gorski posted a 9.000 on vault to place fourth in the event, while Kramer had an 8.500 on parallel bars to earn third.
Vexler and Kramer both performed all-around, finishing third and fourth, respectively, with 50.000 and 48.050 totals. Kramer currently ranks 13th nationally all-around.
Stanford sophomore David Sender, the nation's second ranked all-arounder, won the floor exercise (9.650), vault (9.350) and parallel bars (9.150) en route to the all-around crown with a 52.100. The Cardinal won five of six team events.
