BETHLEHEM, PA - Freshman Joanna Duffey paced the Temple women's cross country team with a 204th place finish at the prestigious Brooks Paul Short Invitational on Friday afternoon at Lehigh. Duffey finished the 6k course in a time of 24:51. The invitational featured three teams in the nation's top 15, #10 Wisconsin, #11 Princeton and #14 Tennessee. Princeton (61 points) edged Wisconsin (62) for the team title.

Junior Shanice DePass was second for Temple and 207th overall in a time of 25:02. She was followed by junior Noelle McKenzie (228th, 26:20), sophomore Ana Gottesfeld (230th, 26:58), sophomore Rachael Angstadt (232nd, 27:04) and freshman Tashae Croxton (235th, 27:57).

Villanova's Frances Koons won the individual title in a time of 20:16. Princeton (61), Wisconsin (62), Tennessee (115), Villanova (138) and Yale (178) completed the top five.

Temple is off next weekend before resuming competition at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday, October 14. It is the final tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championship on October 28 in Pittsburgh, PA.
