Rick Brunson Joins Denver Nuggets Staff

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University alum Rick Brunson has been named the player development coach with the Denver Nuggets, team Vice President of Basketball Operations Mark Warkentien announced today.

Brunson, a two-time all-Atlantic 10 Conference performer, finished his four-year career (1991-95) at Temple with 1,493 points, and currently ranks 14th all-time in the category. He also grabbed 481 rebounds, dished 470 assists (fifth all-time), and made 253 steals (sixth all-time).

The 34-year-old Salem, Mass. native (Salem HS) played nine seasons in the NBA with Portland, New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, the L.A. Clippers, Seattle, and Houston. In 337 career NBA games, he averaged 3.2 ppg and 2.6 apg.
