PHILADELPHIA - Freshman Rebecca Mims led Temple to a 13th place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship on a muddy Belmot Plateau course on Saturday morning. Mims covered the 5k course in a time of 20:56.0 to place 71st. La Salle (52) claimed its fourth consecutive crown by edging Richmond (82).

Junior transfer Marissa Murtaugh finished 74th in a time of 20:58.0, while senior Noelle McKenzie was 86th in 21:17.0.

Freshman Paige Layng (21:36.0, 98th) and classmate Jen Berman (22:04.0, 110th) rounded out the Owls lineup.

The La Salle women's team claimed its fourth consecutive crown as Rachel Papin (18:34.0) was joined in the top five overall by teammates Christa Plummer (18:39.0 - fourth) and Carolyn Lipovsky (18:45 - fifth).

Xavier finished a program-best third with 119 points, followed by Charlotte (123), Duquesne (132), Massachusetts (167), Saint Louis (178), Saint Joseph's (189), George Washington (194), Dayton (266), Fordham (274), Rhode Island (317), Temple (379) and St. Bonaventure (464).

Senior Christina DeRosa (18:27.0) of Massachusetts was named the Championship's Most Outstanding Performer after becoming just the third runner in program annals and first since Rebecca Donaghue in 1997 to win the A-10 individual title, while Xavier's Christina Schneider earned Most Outstanding Rookie honors after finishing sixth overall with a time of 18:46.0.

The Owls return to action in two weeks at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
