Women's Cross Country Competes At Delaware

NEWARK, DE - Freshman Rebecca Mims led a group of four women's cross country harriers by finishing 46th at the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek Park on Saturday. She traversed the 5k course in a time of 25:15.
Freshman Jen Berman was 56th in a time of 26:07, while senior Cari Ann Gerbino (63rd, 26:26) and freshman Sarah Erb (77th, 27:47) rounded out the Owls lineup.
Villanova won the team title by placing five runners in the top seven, including freshman Allison Smith, who won the individual title in a time of 22:29. Penn was second with 41 points, followed by Delaware (105), Towson (110), Hofstra (117), Morgan State (184), and Delaware State (212). With only four runners, the Owls did not score.
Temple is off next weekend before heading to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Invitational on Friday, September 28.
