Women's Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA - The Temple women's cross country team ran against some of the best teams in the nation on Friday afternoon at the 35th annual Paul Short Invitational on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University.

Racing against one of the country's largest fields, sophomores Rebecca Mims and Jen Berman were the top finishers for the Cherry and White, placing 260th and 280th respectively.

As a team, the Owls finished 41st in a field of 43 teams.

Mims covered the 6K course in a time of 24:14 to lead the Owls while Berman covered the track in 25:10. Rounding out the top five finishers for the Owls were sophomore Brianna Linneman (281th/25:13), senior Cari Ann Gerbino (285st/25:24) and sophomore Paige Layng (290th/25:52).

The Owls return to action on Saturday, October 18th when they compete in the Princeton Invitational.
