WILLIAMSBURGH, VA - With just two weeks until the ECAC Championships, the Temple men's gymnastic team avenged the previous weeks' loss to Navy but fell to a good William & Mary team, 345.25-342.50-335.80 on Friday evening.
Senior Luke Vexler won all around (87.15), floor exercise (14.80) and horizontal bar (14.50) to lead the Cherry and White. Senior Sterling Kramer won parallel bars (15.20), and sophomore Scott Bloomfield won vault (15.70).
"Although we performed much better than last week, we have enough areas yet to improve that we can easily increase our team score enough to challenge W&M and our other conference rivals," said head coach Fred Turoff. "Should we get a return to full action from Pat McLaughlin, Alex Gorski and freshman Adam Al-Rokh, who are still recovering from early-season injuries, this will further help our cause."
The Owls are next in action on April 5th when the travl to West Point looking to defend their ECAC Championship. To get to the NCAA Qualifier, the Owls will have to either win the ECACs or outscore both Navy and Illinois-Chicago.
