Men's Gymnastics Finishes Season at NCAA Championships

STANFORD, CA - Senior Luke Vexler finished 13th in the all-around at the NCAA Championships while sophomore Scott Bloomfield finished 12th in the vault from the University of Stanford, highlighting the Cherry and White individual performers on Friday evening.
Vexler, a finalist for the Nissen-Emery Award, finished 13th in the all-around with a score of 82.050 to complete his illustrious Temple career. His highest event placing was 29th on pommel horse. Bloomfield, a first year competitor, finished with a 15.900 on the vault, missing the event finals by .01. Bloomfield finished the event tied for 12th, the among finish for the Cherry and White.
Also competing in the finals for the Owls was senior Sterling Kramer. In the parallel bars, Kramer finished with a score of 14.350 to finish 28th.
While the championships marked the end of the collegiate careers for Vexler and Kramer, both will compete in Colorado Springs this coming Wednesday at the qualifier for the US Championships.
In the team finals, Oklahoma edged out host Stanford for the team championship363.20-362.75. Penn State's Casey Sandy captured the all-around crown with a score of 91.35.
