Men's Gymnast Al-Rokh Named ECAC Gymnast of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Adam Al-Rokh has been named the ECAC Gymnast of the Week by USA Gymnastics, the organization announced on Thursday.

Al-Rokh, a sophomore from Bensalem, Pa., led the Owls (332.55) over William & Mary (325.65) in a home meet from McGonigle Hall. The performance marked his return to competition from an injury that kept out of competition for nearly a month. Al-Rokh took first on pommel horse(14.200) and placed second on rings (14.300), trailing only defending ECAC Champion James Prim of William & Mary. He also second on parallel bars(13.2).

Al-Rokh, an exercise science major, and received his early training under former Owl gymnast Walt
Kenny while he attended the Christa McAuliffe Academy. He is a four time academic all-American.

The men's gymnastics team returns to action tonmight when they take on Springfield College from Springfield. Action is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
