PHILADELPHIA-- After each remaining spring practice session, a member of the Temple coaching staff will give an assessment about his unit's progress. Today Tyree Foreman, running backs coach, gives his perspective.

The football team has one remaining practice, slated for April 16, before hosting the annual Cherry & White Spring Game on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Edberg-Olson Complex.

The team will also host its Second Annual Bone Marrow Donor Drive on Wednesday, April 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Howard Gittis Student Center (Room 200).

Tyree Foreman Quotes

What were you impressions of spring practice so far?
Spring practice is going well so far. The guys are focused, and we're getting better every day. The best part of spring practice is that we don't have a lot of injuries. We're looking good right now.

What do you want the backfield to accomplish this spring?
Just to get better every day. I think we're doing that throughout each practice, just to go out and make sure each guy is focused and that they're working on their fundamentals and working together as a unit.

Who do you think has shown the most improvement?
It's hard to pick just one. All of my guys, especially because they're so young, are improving by leaps and bounds each practice. It's hard to single out one guy. All the guys are working hard, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes together.

Talk about Lamar McPherson's progress:
His progress is unique. He was a fullback last year, and now he's a tailback. He's a hard worker, and he's willing to do whatever we ask. We can count on him to be a force for us emotionally and physically on the field. We're looking forward to seeing what he does throughout the year.

Talk about your younger players like Kee-ayre Griffin and Joe Jones:
Kee-ayre and Joey were our guys last year, and we're just looking forward to see them grow more and more than they have. They finished the season last year as our leading rusher and our second-leading rusher. We're looking forward for those guys to have a big year this year. They've gotten better each practice. We're just excited to see exactly how it comes to fruition.
