AMBLER, Pa.
- The Temple women's soccer team celebrated on Senior Day as they hosted Charlotte at Ambler Sports Complex.  The 49ers got the best of the Owls, putting up a 7-0 win.  Playing for the final time in the Cherry and White were seniors Julia Adden, Brianna Costello, Meridith Crowell, Kelly Diviny, Steph Ferretti, Steph Kwiatkowski, Liz Roper, Sara Scheid, Kara Williams and junior Allicia 'Sha' Yurkovic.

"We had a great group of seniors and they really put a lot into the program," said head coach David Jones.  "A lot of effort and a lot of hard work from all of them.  At the end of the day they are all great kids and hopefully they got a great education, and that's what it is all about."

Charlotte wasted no time getting on the board, posting a goal just 1:15 into the match.  Jonna Handra set up Macky Wingo for her first goal of the day.  The 49ers tallied in the eighth and 32nd minutes in the first half.

Temple's best scoring chance game near the end of the first, as junior Niki Conn threaded a pass to sophomore Kate Yurkovic, who need just a little more room to get by Charlotte keeper Natalie Lavigne.

The 49ers put up four goals in the second half, tallying in the 49th, 52nd, 56th and 79th minutes.

Owls' senior keeper Kara Williams made five saves on the day.

The Owls conclude the 2010 season with a 6-12-1 overall, 1-7-1 Atlantic 10 record.
