PHILADELPHIA - Temple basketball fans attending either of Friday's season-opening doubleheader games at the Liacouras Center are invited to sign their place in university history.
Celebrating Temple's construction of a $13.5 million basketball practice facility for the Owls' men's and women's programs as part of the $48 million renovation to Pearson and McGonigle Halls, a 15-foot steel beam will be on display in the Fox-Gittis Room throughout both doubleheader games. At any point throughout the evening, fans are welcome to the Fox-Gittis Room to sign the beam, which will then be used as part of the practice facility's construction. Athletics Development staff will be on hand to provide information and answer questions related to this signature athletics construction project.
The Temple women open 2010-11 play vs. #7/7 Ohio State at 5 p.m., followed by the #22 Temple men against Seton Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for both games are available by calling (215) 204-TIXX or at www.OwlsTix.com
