Field Hockey Has 11 Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced its National Academic Squad for 2009-10, and 11 Temple field hockey student-athletes earned recognition. The Owls are also one of 58 programs nationally to earn a team grade-point-average of 3.0 or above. For the academic squad, honorees needed to earn a GPA of at least 3.3 during the fall of 2009.

Senior Charise Young now holds the distinction of being named to the academic squad all four years of her career. Seniors Kimmi Hanshue and Kasey Ruth are also recipients.
