Men’s Track & Field Qualifies Six For NCAA East Regional

PHILADELPHIA – Six individuals from the Temple men's track & field team qualified for the NCAA East Regional, held May 27-29 in Greensboro, N.C. on the campus of North Carolina A&T.

Senior Josue Louis and sophomore Tim Malloy will be competing in the high jump. Both athletes have performed steadily in the event over the season, with Louis taking the title in the 2010 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship. The men's high jump begins at 5:00 on Friday, May 28.

Senior Tim Boeni earned a spot in the long jump finals, also a champion at the A-10 Outdoor Championships this season. Boeni competes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27.

The Owls' Big Three – Bryce Buffaloe, Bob Keogh, and Grant West – punched their tickets to the NCAA East Regionals. The trio of athletes will be competing against the regions' best in the hammer throw. The men's hammer throw begins at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27.

All six athletes will have one more week to prepare for the meet, as the NCAA East Regional runs May 27-29.
