Temple Football Opens Training Camp on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University football team will open training camp on Saturday, August 7 at Edberg-Olson Hall.

The coaching staff and squad of 105 players will take the field for the first time this fall, just 28 days from their first game.

For the second consecutive year, fans can watch updates posted daily on www.OwlSports.com and YouTube. The Temple video staff will provide insight into the team's progress with video reports posted every day after practice.

Under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Al Golden, the 2010 squad returns 56 letterwinners, including 17 starters. The Owls have been tabbed to win the MAC East in a preseason media poll.

Practices are closed to the general public.

Temple opens the 2010 season on Friday, Sept. 3 with Villanova at 5 p.m. in the second annual Mayor's Cup at Lincoln Financial Field.
