Owls posted season-opening score of 328.300 at West Point
PHILADELPHIA - The latest men's gymnastics rankings have been released by the NCAA with Temple owning the 11th-best average to-date after posting a season-opening team score of 328.300 at the West Point Open this past weekend. The Owls are the top-ranked team in the ECAC thus far, edging out rival Illinois-Chicago (327.300) by 1.000.
Illinois tops the national ranking with a team average of 355.400. West region powers California (349.650), Stanford (348.700) and Oklahoma (346.500) take the next three spots, with Penn State (345.150) rounding out the top five.
The Owls placed second at the West Point Open in their first meet of the season. Temple travels this weekend to Annapolis, Md., to compete at the Navy Open on January 22 at 3:00 p.m.
