Five-Touchdown Performance at Maryland
Temple junior RB Bernard Pierce (Ardmore, Pa.) was named a finalist for the Running Back Performance of the Year for his 149-yard, five-touchdown performance at Maryland, Intersport announced on Sunday.
All-Star Performances of the Year is a four-month competition that lets fans determine which individual performances reign supreme during the 2011 college football season. Each top weekly vote-getter proceeds to the Finals, which run Jan. 16-22, and the winners will be revealed during the All-Star Football Challenge special airing at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 3 on ESPN2.
Pierce will compete against 16 other finalists, which will be announced weekly from now until the culmination of bowl season. Fans can vote as often as they would like in each category and can share their vote with Facebook friends. Week four voting opened today and ends Sunday, Oct. 9, at 9:59 a.m. ET.
