Women's Rowing Competes at Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple Women's rowing team continued its fall season at the Head of Schuylkill Regatta on October 29th. The Owls competed in the Varsity 4+ and Frosh/Novice 8+
In the Varsity 4+ comprised of Jillian Malkowski (cox), Paige O' Sullivan (stroke), Taylor Wasserleben (seat-3), Ali Boc (seat-2) and Jackie Lees (bow), the Owls placed 12th with a time of 16:22.55. Vesper Boat Club won the race with a time of 15:05.47
In the Frosh/Novice 8+ race comprised of Samantha Deegan (coxswain), Laura Turner (stroke), Julia Dziembowska (seat-7), Moira Meekes (seat-6), McKenzie Rae (seat-5), Allison Watkins (seat-4), Margot Salter (seat-3) and Caroline Slusarczyk, the Owls placed 13th with a time of 16:23.28. Penn won the race with a time of 14:49.23
Varsity 8+, which was scheduled to race at 2:40 P.M., was cancelled due to inclement weather.
