CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is excited to announce their annual gala will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at The Mansion at Colonial Terrace. Gala Chairman Mr. Leon Drogy announced that the Thankful to Live In the Moment Gala will honor individuals who have shown a high level of commitment and passion in exemplifying the organization's mission, which is to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors.

The formal event opens at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour featuring a silent auction, balloon raffle and entertainment. Immediately following the auction hour gala guests will listen to the honorees and other featured speakers share their inspirational and unique FOJ experiences.  The event's primary purpose is to raise awareness and support for children battling pediatric brain tumors. FOJ children and their parents will be invited guests and will be treated to a 'red carpet' experience throughout the evening.
