Dubrow placed 41st to be Temple's top finisher
BRONX, N.Y. – Temple concluded its 2011 cross country season at the ECAC Championships held at Van Courtlandt Park on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx. The Owls ended the season on a high-note placing 15th in the race, which marked its highest finish at an ECAC Championship in program history. Leading the way for the Owls once again and for the sixth time this season was freshman Jenna Dubrow, as she placed 41st overall.
Taylor Goldsworthy and Stephanie Dorantes joined Dubrow in placing inside the 19-minute mark, while placing among the top 100 runners, finishng 75th and 94th, respectively.
In the 2011 running of the ECAC Championships, the Owls combined for an average time that was under 20 minutes. A season ago, only two Temple runners finished under that time.
Sophomore Anna Pavone (120th, 20:14), junior Dierdre MacFarlane (131st, 20:25), senior Karrie Finn (136th, 20:28) and sophomore Erin Casey (139th, 20:30) wrapped up the meet in Temple's top seven.
Running season for Temple will pick back up in the not too distant future, as indoor track and field season will commence on Dec. 2 at the Jack Pyrah Invitational at Haverford College.
