Men's Gymnastics Competes At Winter Cup Challenge


- Members of the Temple men's gymnastics team took part in preliminary qualifying for the Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, Nev.  Senior Adam Al-Rokh led the Owls by placing 35th all-around, which included a tie for 19th on rings.

Al-Rokh placed best on rings scoring 13.750.  He also fared well on pommel horse with a score of 12.450, in the end totalling 78.300 all-around.  Senior Patrick McLaughlin continues to look strong on high bar, tying for 19th with a score of 13.650. 

Sophomore Allan Malone made the trip to the desert, placing 56th all-around with a score of 74.050.  He placed best on floor, scoring 13.600 to tie for 42nd.  Classmate Alex Tighe competed on all but one event, competing best on rings with a score of 12.600.  Junior Chris Mooney only competed on high bar for the Owls, unfortunately suffering an injury on his dismount.

Temple has a weekend off now before returning to the friendly confines of McGonigle Hall, taking on William & Mary on Saturday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m.
