Owls still ranked 11th nationally, tops in conference
PHILADELPHIA - After another solid week of competition which featured a win over Springfield, the Temple men's gymnastics team is holding as the 11th-ranked team in the nation. The Owls, who own a three-score average of 340.100, are also still the top ranked team in the EIGL.
Oklahoma is tops in the nation with a three-score average of 358.817, followed by Stanford, Illinois, California and Penn State rounding out the top five. Temple is the seventh-ranked team in the East Region, just behind Iowa who is ranked 10th nationally (343.200).
Trailing the Owls in the 12th and 13th spots are Air Force and Illinois-Chicago - two teams Temple will square off with this weekend in Chicago. Conference rival UIC sports a three-score average of 333.667. The meet is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, with a start time of 2:00 p.m.
