MALVERN, PA -
Coming off its best outing of the spring, the Temple men's golf team continued its strong play with a fourth-place showing after day one of the Wildcat Invitational Sunday. The Invitational, hosted by Villanova at the White Manor Country Club, features 20 teams and 105 golfers.
Delaware led the field with a six-over par 290. Towson was three strokes back with Georgetown carding +16 total of 300. Temple followed with a 303, one stroke better than Sacred Heart and two ahead of host Villanova.
Senior Andrew Mason
led the Owls and placed ninth overall with a two-over 73. Freshman Connor McNicholas
was one stroke behind his teammate and tied for 14th with a 74. Freshman Russell Hartung
tied for 36th overall with a 77 while freshman Steve Burak
and sophomore Devin Bibeau
were tied for 52nd with 79s.
Delaware's Kevin McLister led the field with a five-under par 66.
Play concludes Monday.
