Men's Track & Field Competes In Day Two of IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Bob Keogh turned in a third place finish in the hammer throw and senior Emmanual Freeland qualified for the finals in the 100m and 200m dashes as the Temple men's track & field team competed in the IC4A Championships, held Saturday afternoon at Princeton University.

Keogh took third place in the hammer throw with a toss of 62.17m.  In the long jump, senior Miles Dryden took 16th with a leap of 6.90m.

The 4x100m relay - Dryden, sophomore Dylan Pensyl, freshman Alex McGee and Freeland - placed eight in qualifying action to advance to the finals with a time of 41.38.  The 4x800m relay squad - senior Aaron Taylor, freshman Will Kellar, junior Travis Mahoney and senior Lou Parisi - placed

Freeland clocked in a qualifying time of 10.75, good enough to earn a spot in the finals of the 100m dash.  The senior also turned in a time of 21.57 in the 200m dash qualifying rounds, and will be participating in the finals.

Parisi placed 16th in the 800m run with a time of 1:51.87 while Taylor took 25th with a time of 1:55.69.  

The Owls remain in action as the IC4A Championships come to a close today, Sunday, May 15.
