Adam Al-Rokh Qualifies for U.S. Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Senior gymnast Adam Al-Rokh registered a score of 39.05 to place 15th at the 2011 U.S. Men's Qualifier at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sunday. Al-Rokh's finish qualifies him for a spot in the 2011 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics national championships, which are set to take place at the Xcel Center in St. Paul, Minn., Aug. 17-21.
Sunday's field included a combination of men vying for berths to the Visa Championships and gymnasts who previously qualified and used the Qualifier as a tune-up for the Visa Championships.
No awards were presented at the Qualifier. For the senior division, 21 gymnasts using the Men's Program Committee 20-point system advanced to the Visa Championships. Eight age-eligible juniors qualified for the Visa Championships.
The 2011 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics' national championships, features the country's best gymnasts vying for national titles and spots on the U.S. National Team in men's, women's and rhythmic gymnastics. NBC Sports and Universal Sports will broadcast and webcast the action from the men's and women's gymnastics competitions.
