Temple Basketball Teams to Debut on Cherry & White Night October 19

PHILADELPHIA  – Temple University basketball fans will get their first chance to see the 2012-13 men's and women's basketball teams in action when the squads make their public debut at Cherry and White Night on Friday, October 19. The free event, open to the public, will be held at McGonigle Hall beginning at 8:00 p.m.

The Temple men's basketball team is coming off its fifth straight NCAA Tournament trip, and the Temple women's basketball team has appeared in the postseason for nine consecutive years. The men's team will host 17 games at the Liacouras Center, which will debut a new state-of-the-art video system for the 2012-13 season, starting with the home opener against Rice on November 17. The Temple women's home slate includes BIG EAST members Rutgers, Syracuse and Seton Hall.
