Brandon McManus Earns Two National Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Temple senior PK/P Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.) was named the national Honorable Mention Specialist and Punter of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards on Sunday.
In Saturday's 34-10 loss to Cincinnati, McManus became Temple's career leader (outright) in field goal attempts (79) with his 20-yard field goal in the first quarter. He is Temple's career leader in field goals made with 58.
McManus also punted seven times for 342 yards (48.9 average), including a 60-yard punt in the second quarter against the Bearcats. He had three kickoffs for 195 yards (65.0 average).
On the day McManus had four points and now needs just four points (321 pts.) to overtake RB Bernard Pierce (324 pts.) as Temple's all-time scorer.
After nine games, McManus is 21-of-22 in PATs and 12-of-15 in field goals. He is Temple's leading scorer with 57 points. McManus has punted 49 times for 2,206 yards (45.0 average) and kicked off 41 times for 2,594 yards (63.3 average) and 28 touchbacks.
The honors from CFP are McManus' eighth this season.
Temple (3-6, 2-4 BIG EAST) travels to Army (2-8) on Nov. 17 for a Noon game at Michie Stadium. CBS College Sports Network will televise the game nationally.
