McManus Named Under Armour Athlete of the Month for November

Football's PK/P Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.) has been named the Under Armour OwlSports.com Athlete of the Month for November 2012.

Last month, McManus was a perfect 14-of-14 in extra points and four-of-four in field goals while becoming TU's career scoring leader.
 
At No. 12/10 Louisville, McManus tied the Temple career record for field goal attempts (78) with his 34-yard field goal in the second quarter. 
 
Against Cincinnati, McManus became Temple's career leader (outright) for field goal attempts (79) with his 20-yard field goal in the first quarter.  He is Temple's career leader in field goals made (58). 

In the 63-32 win at Army, McManus became Temple's career scoring leader, surpassing former RB Bernard Pierce (2007-09) who finished with 324 career points.  He set the record with his fourth PAT in the second quarter. McManus finished the game with a school record nine PAT made and a school record nine PAT attempts on the day. He is also Temple's career leader in field goals made (58), field goal attempts (81), and punting average (45.4). 
 
Against Syracuse, his final collegiate game, McManus had two field goals, (47 yds., 22 yds.) and two extra points to extend his career scoring record to 338 points He finished the game with five kickoffs for 314 yards (62.8 average) and four punts for 175 yards (43.8 average).  McManus ends his career as Temple's career leader in field goals made (60), field goal attempts (83), and punting average (45.4). 
 
In November, McManus earned BIG EAST Specialist of the Week honors as well as CFP national Specialist of the Week honors five times.
 
McManus played in all 11 games this fall and played in EVERY game of his collegiate career.  One of eight players in the country who handled ALL kicking duties, he finished his collegiate career as the owner of the school career records for scoring (338 points), field goals made (80), field goal attempts (83), and punting average (45.4).

McManus earned 2012 All-BIG EAST honors at both punter and placekicker from the league's coaches, as well as ESPN.com, College Sports Madness, and CBSSports.com.
