PHILADELPHIA -Two top-finishes and one runner-up placement through three meets has earned the Temple men's gymnastics team national recognition, as it has broke into the Top 12 as the No. 10 squad in the nation. With an average of 336.933, the Owls are also ranked as the top team in the EIGL.
Temple owns the sixth-best team average in the East Region, and after posting a score of 337.700 in the team's latest home tri-meet against Illinois-Chicago and Springfield. The Owls are ahead of rival Illinois-Chicago (325.640) in the conference standings. Oklahoma is currently the top team in the nation, sporting an average of 350.817.
Senior Adam Al-Rokh is averaging 81.362 in all around, putting him No. 10 on the national charts and second in the conference, while junior Alex Tighe leads the conference and is 11th in the nation with his average score of 14.050 on the horizontal bar.
The Owls will put their national ranking on the line when it host Air Force and Brockport on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in McGonigle Hall.
