Men's Crew Dominates at Knecht Cup

Camden, NJ- The Temple men's crew team continued its dominance on the Cooper River with an impressive performance on day two of the Knecht Cup. The Owls took gold in the Varsity 8+ and Frosh/Novice 4+ and placed fourth in the JV8+ finals.
 
The Varsity 8+ comprised of Donald Norris (coxswain), Jimmy Barr (Stroke), Aaron Heyde (seat-7), Michael Mirabella (seat-6), Brian Reehill (seat-5), Djordje Vilimanovic (seat-4), Perry Cox (seat-3), Kevin Nally (seat-2) and Brandon Joyce (bow) won with a time of 5:48 beating Philadelphia schools, Drexel, Saint Joseph's and La Salle.
 
The Owls Frosh/Novice 4+ comprised of Matthew Ciarello (coxswain), Connor Murphy (seat-4), Pat Woodruff (seat-3), Josh Kuzo (seat-2) and Vince DePentino (bow) won gold  with a time of 6:53.
 
The JV 8+ comprised of Nick Palastro (coxswain), Sean McKenna (stroke), Joe Bellesheim (seat-7), John Boehm (seat-6), Mike VanAssche (seat-5), Jason Cartwright (seat-4),  Petar Ivacic (seat-3), Trey Ehmer (seat-2) and Alex Klein (bow) placed fourth with a time of 6:04, the Drexel Dragons went on to win the race with a time of 5:59.
 
The Cherry and White return to action on Saturday April 21st when they compete in the SIRA Regatta held in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
