Tighe To Compete At U.S. Gymnastics Championships

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Alex Tighe, a member of the ECAC Champions and No. 10 Temple men's gymnastics team, qualified for the 2012 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics national championships that will be held in St. Louis, Mo. June 7 and June 9 by virtue of his placing at the qualifier which was held in Colorado Springs on May 5. Although Tighe is allowed to compete on all six men's events, he will perform on floor exercise, pommel horse, parallel bars and horizontal bar, staying off rings and vault. Selections were announced Monday via email from USAG Men's Program Director Dennis McIntyre
