PHILADELPHIA – Former Temple tight end Randy Grossman (1971-73) has been selected for induction to the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame & Museum, the organization announced on Friday.
The induction ceremony will be held on April 21, 2013, at the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center in Commack, N.Y., the home of the Hall of Fame.

A three-year starter for the Owls, Grossman was a three-year letterman under coach Wayne Hardin. As a junior in 1972, he earned Associated Press All-East honors.

Grossman was inducted into the Temple Sports Hall of Fame in 1986.
Following graduation, Grossman was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as a free agent and helped the team win four Super Bowls (Jan. 1975, 76, 79, 80). He played eight seasons with the Steelers. He set personal marks with 37 receptions during the 1978 season for 441 yards, and he caught a touchdown pass in Pittsburgh's 21-17 victory over Dallas in Super Bowl X.
