Owls to open 2012-13 running season Sept. 15 at Belmont Plateau
2012 Cross Country Schedule
PHILADELPHIA – On Tuesday morning, the first phase of Temple's 2012-13 running season was announced with the releasing of the 2012 Cross Country schedule.
Fifth-year assistant coach Matt Jelly and the Owls will open the season on familiar territory, as they will run on their practice course at the Belmont Plateau for the Friend Invitational on Sept. 15. The Belmont Plateau will also be the site of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships, which will be held on Oct. 27.
Next on the docket, both squads will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. on Sept. 28 for the running of the 39th annual Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh University.
Before going the A-10 Championships, the Owls will flock to Lafayette University on Oct. 13 for the Leopard Invitational.
As the season winds down, the teams will make their way to Penn State on Nov. 9 for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships being held at Louisville University on Nov. 19.
Temple will also send its men and women to Van Courtland Park for the IC4A and ECAC Championships, respectively, on Nov. 17.
