Boston, Mass. - The Owls continue their fall season at the Head of the Charles Regatta, this weekend, in Boston, Massachusetts. The world's largest two-day rowing events will bring over 9,000 rowers from all over the country to the Cambridge Boat Club.
Temple women's rowing will enter three boats into the regatta, to compete in the Club 4 and Champ 8 races. The Club 4 race, featuring Temple A and B boat, will begin at 1:39pm on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The Owls will finish their weekend at 3:06pm on Sunday, October20, 2013 with the Champ 8 Race.
"Head of the Charles is one of my favorite regattas. " Said women's rowing head coach Rebecca Smith Grzybowski, "The energy surrounding the weekend and the crowd support along the entire 3-mile stretch is unlike any other race and I'm looking forward to sharing the experience with such a large group this year. For most of the women racing it will be their first time on the course and I know it will be one to remember. We will be racing some world-class crews and top collegiate programs from around the country and we are anticipating putting together solid races in all three boats."
