BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Senior Anna Pavone and junior Jenna Dubrow both placed in the top 60 out of nearly 200 competitors to lead Temple's women's cross country team at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, hosted by Lehigh University. The duo have led the Owls in every race this season, recently recording top-25 finishes at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
As a team, the Owls placed 23rd of 29 teams at the regional meet. Villanova was the champion on both the men's and women's side, and placed four runners in the top 10 including the winner, Emily Lipari.
Pavone and Dubrow finished just one second apart, with Pavone placing 56th in a time of 21:30 for the 6k race, and Dubrow placing 58th in a time of 21:31. Both times were season-bests, with Pavone finishing three seconds faster than in the conference meet, and Dubrow finishing 17 seconds faster.
