Thirty Owls Named to BIG EAST All-Academic Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Thirty Temple Owls were among the 207 football players named to the 2012 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, the Conference announced on Thursday.
The 207 honorees were nominated by the respective institutions. To be nominated, a player must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 and completed a minimum of two semesters of academic work.
The Owls begin spring practice on March 22 in preparation for BIG EAST Conference play in 2013. The squad's annual Cherry & White spring game is slated for Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. at Edberg-Olson Hall. Temple returns 46 letterwinners and 15 starters, including Freshman All-American and BIG EAST Rookie of the Year Tyler Matakevich.

Season tickets include discounted seats for all six home games, priority access to purchase tickets for the August 31 match-up at Notre Dame, and additional savings for season tickets in 2014.
