Field Hockey Graduate Assistant Coach Kelly Driscoll Named to U.S. Women's National Indoor Team

PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey graduate assistant coach Kelly Driscoll has been named to the 2013-14 U.S. Women's National Indoor Team, as announced by head coach Denise Zelenak, also the head coach at Drexel University. Driscoll, a goalkeeper, played collegiate field hockey for Old Dominion University and has been on the Owls' staff for two years.

The U.S. Indoor squad will represent the nation at the 2014 Pan American Indoor Cup, a qualifier for the FIH Indoor World Cup that will be held in Germany in 2015. 

Driscoll was part of the USA National Development team in 2011, and will be bringing her USA National outdoor team training experience to the USA National Indoor team as it prepares for the Pan American Indoor Cup. She trained full-time with the National Development Team in July and August of 2010 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., and returned to train with the team from January to June of 2011.

Along with Driscoll, the 2013-14 U.S. National Indoor team features Kelsey Amy (Sweet Valley, Pa.), Hannah Balleza (Severna Park, Md.), Carolyn Cabrey (North Wales, Pa.), Susan Ciufo (Bangor, Pa.), Amy Daniel (Mountain Top, Pa.), Wesley Drew (Williamsburg, Va.), Amanda Fleischut (Doylestown, Pa.), Audra Hampsch (Hopedale, Mass.), Lindsey Heppner (Fredericksburg, Va.), Lauren Hibshman (Allentown, Pa.), Maria Keesling (Downingtown, Pa.), Jenna Knouse (Elliottsburg, Pa.), Genna Kovar (Hampton Bays, N.Y.), Meredith Long (Ocean City, N.J.), Erin Matson (Chadds Ford, Pa.), Lindsay McArdle (Upper Darby, Pa.), Jessica McCarthy (Havertown, Pa.), Ali McEvoy (Gilbertsville, Pa.), Margaux Paolino (Villanova, Pa.), Maddy Sposito (Ridgefield, Conn.), Rachel Sumfest (Lewisburg, Pa.), Jamie Tierney (Fredericksburg, Va.), Emily Valeo (Norristown, Pa.) and Mallory Weisen (Lock Haven, Pa.). The squad may be expanded once waiver try-outs are completed within the next month.
