The 2013 Temple Owls are hungry … for ice cream! Join the members of the Owls football team and members of the Spirit Squad on Wednesday, July 24 at the Reading Terminal Market (12th & Arch Streets) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The players will work behind the counter at Bassett's Ice Cream while meeting and greeting fans.

Fans can devour a special Cherry & White ice cream with a "T" shaped, red sugar cookie. All customers wearing Temple apparel will receive a 10 percent discount.

The following vendors have teamed up with Temple Football for the event and Owl players will be working behind the counters during this hour:
* Bassett's Ice Cream (10% discount for people wearing Temple gear)
* Hershel's East Side Deli (10% discount for people wearing Temple gear)
* Beiler's Doughnuts (10% discount for people wearing Temple gear)
* Miller's Twist ($1 pretzels for people wearing Temple gear...usually $2)
* Beck's Cajun Cafe. (10% discount for people wearing Temple gear)

Under first-year head coach Matt Rhule, Temple opens the 2013 season at Notre Dame on August 31. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC. The home/American Athletic Conference opener with Houston is slated for Sept. 7 at Noon at Lincoln Financial Field.

Temple Football full season ticket packages are on sale for as low as $99.
