Women’s Rowing Announces Recruiting Class

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University women's rowing second-year head coach Rebecca Grzybowski announced the signing of nine incoming freshman to National Letters of Intent. The nine incoming freshmen, who will comprise the Class of 2017, are Lindsay Ackerman, Peyton Conrey, Bea Eribal, Imani Johnson, Katie Mascitelli, Lea Millio, Sam Sederstrand, Stevie Smith, and Hope Watson.

"We are very excited to welcome nine members of the class of 2017 to the Temple Women's Rowing family," Grzybowski said of the incoming class. "This is our largest recruiting class in recent history and they have the potential to make a big impact on our overall speed and development during their four years at Temple. We are looking forward to building off the momentum and success that we had this season and this incoming class will play a critical role in that growth."

Ackerman, a 5-foot-11 graduate of North Penn High School, will major in Criminal Justice. Conrey is a graduate of Moorestown High School and plans to study Health Sciences. Eribal plans to study Nursing after recently graduating from Egg Harbor Township High School. Johnson, a 5-foot-5 graduate of the Science Leadership Academy, looks to continue exploring her interests in science by majoring in Biology.

Mascitelli, a 5-foor-4 rower, recently graduated from Bonner & Prendergast Catholic High School and plans major in University Studies while making the final decision on her career path. Millio also graduated from Bonner & Prendergast Catholic High School and is also undecided on her major. Sederstrand, from West Chester, Pa., attended Archbishop Carroll High School prior to enrolling at Temple as a major in Marketing.

A graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, the 5-foot-10 Smith plans to major in Biology.

Watson, a 5-foot-7 Owen J. Roberts High School graduate, will major in Biochemistry on a pre-med track.
