PHILADELPHIA – Temple University Athletics' behind-the-scenes television series have earned three Emmy nominations from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Temple TUFF: Behind the Scenes with Temple Football and Temple Basketball: Above the Rim are produced by 20/20 Visual Media, a production company founded by two Temple alumni. The all-access programs that chronicle the seasons of Temple's football and men's and women's basketball teams are nominated for Outstanding Achievement in a Sports Program-Series, while 20/20 Visual Media's team of writers also earned an Outstanding Craft Achievement nomination for their writing compilation in Above the Rim.
"We are unbelievably humbled and honored to be nominated for three 2013 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards", said Rob Czyzewicz, a co-producer at 20/20 Visual Media. "We have received the unique opportunity to share the incredible behind-the-scenes stories of Temple athletics with the city of Philadelphia, and we're so thrilled to be recognized for our hard work".
"Rob Czyzewicz and Patrick Rosenbaum (co-producer) are two of the most talented Temple graduates that I have encountered in my decade at the University," said Larry Dougherty, Temple University's Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications. "It is no surprise that they continue to be recognized for their work in chronicling Temple Athletics."
This is the second consecutive year the shows have earned multiple nominations. In 2012, both programs, which air on Comcast SportsNet, were honored with four nominations. This year's winners will be announced at the 31st annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 7th at the Sheraton Society Hill.
