Temple Golf moved up two spots during the final round of the 30th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate held at The Members Club at Four Streams to place ninth in the 12 team field. Toledo won the tournament while Georgetown freshman Cole Berman defeated W&M's Alex Hicks in a one-hole playoff to claim the individual title.
Junior Brandon Matthews
shot a one-over 72 on the day to finish one-over for the tournament and tied for seventh overall. Matthews has finished no lower than seventh in all six tournaments on the season.
Senior Pat Ross
finished nine over for the tournament and tied for 36th. Freshman Mark Farley
had the best round of the day for the Owls, shooting a one-under 70 to tie Ross for 36th overall. Freshman Evan Thornton
was one shot back and tied for 41st with a 10-over 152 while senior Matt Teesdale
(157, t-57th) rounded out the Temple team.
Seattle placed second to Toledo (569), 14 strokes back with a 583. William & Mary placed third with a 584 and the Tribe was followed by Illinois State (587), Navy (588), Penn State (589), Georgetown(589), Gonzaga (593), Temple (595), Weber State (596), DePaul (600) and Saint Joseph's (614).
The Owls complete their fall season at the Wendy's Kiawah Classic November 2-4.
