Gymnast Jakob Welsh Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Men's gymnast Jakob Welsh was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week after his performance last Friday against Army.
A freshman from Bowie, Md. Welsh continued to demonstrate progress competing for only the third time in the all-around as Owl gymnast as he posted a season high (81.95) as Temple (408.80) went down to defeat against Army (423.75). He received his early training at Docksiders Gymnastics in MD. This is his second recognition as ECAC Rookie of the Week (February 2nd).
Temple men's gymnastics returns to action this Saturday at Navy at 2:00 p.m.
