Men's Gymnastics Places Third in Meet at William and Mary

WILLAMSBURG, Md. – Temple men's gymnastics placed third in a meet at William and Mary with a score of 401.45 with Army participating in the meet. William and Mary finished first with a score of 427.2, as Army was second with 406.9.
On floor, Temple had an event score of 67.55. Jakob Welsh (14.3) and Brendan Williams (14.2) both scored above 14 in the event. Mike Bittner had a 13.75 on the pommel horse to lead Temple to a score of 64.1 on the event.
Evan Eigner had the third highest score on rings of the three teams with a routine earning him a 14.65. Temple finished with a score of 69.05 on rings. The Owls highest event score came on the vault with a 68.7. Casey Polizzotto had the top score for Temple with a 14.25.
Williams had the best score for Temple on the parallel bars, helping Temple earn a parallel bar score of 65.5. On high bar, Jon Rydzefski earned a 14.2 where Temple garnered an event score of 65.55.
Temple will have its final meet of the regular season against Oklahoma at Ohio State next Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
