BOSTON - On the final day of the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Temple junior Margo Britton
took second place in the shot put with a throw of 16.53m (51-03.50). It was the second year in a row that Britton has earned second place in the event.
Her finish highlighted the three-day meet for the Owls, who also a third-place finish and a sixth-place finish. One of those was also Britton, who threw a personal-best 17.91m (58-09.25) in the weight throw to take sixth on Saturday.
Britton's11 total team points added to the six earned by junior Kiersten LaRoche
, who took third place in the pentathlon on Friday.
Also in action on Sunday was freshman Jimmia McCluskey
, who placed 12th in the long jump. She was one of only five freshmen to qualify for the event, and one of only two to compete.
As a team, Temple earned 17 points to place 18th among the 46 teams represented at the ECAC Championships.
