Women's Soccer Edged by Tulsa, 2-1

TULSA, Okla. – After leading for almost 85 minutes, the Temple women's soccer team fell to Tulsa, 2-1 on Thursday night. The Owls move to 9-6-1, 1-4-1 The American on the season.

Sophomore Elana Falcone put points on the board early for the Owls with her sixth goal of the season. Off a pass from sophomore Gabriella McKeown, Falcone beat a defender down the field and netted a shot from 12 yards out in the 19th minutes.

Temple held onto their 1-0 lead long into the second half, until Tulsa's Rachel Thun booted a free kick into the back of an empty net from 19 yards out to tie the game in the 85th minute. A little over two minutes later, the Hurricane's Roman Edwards passed the ball to Thun who dribbled the ball around a Temple defender and again found the net for the game-winning goal.

The Owls will finish their American Athletic Conference road schedule on Sunday, as they face Memphis in a 1:00 p.m. matchup.
