Moros Gracia and Jokinen Earn Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the week ending October 18, and the Owls' Carlos Moros Gracia has earned a spot on the honor roll. The Philadelphia Soccer Six also release its weekly awards, naming Joonas Jokinen as the Player of the Week.

In the Owls' past two matches, Moros Gracia logged his second career goal to lift Temple to a 3-1 victory over Columbia. He also played a key role in the Owls' defensive back line that limited the Lions to only one goal out of 14 total shots.

As the Owls faced off against Tulsa, Moros Gracia was able to log two shots against the Hurricane with one being on target.

This is the third conference recognition for Moros Gracia. He was previously the Defensive Player of the Week in weeks two and four of the season.

Jokinen logged the game-winning goal and an assist in the Owls' match against Columbia. This was Jokinen's second goal and assist of the season. In their match against Tulsa, Jokinen was able to log two shots through a strong Hurricane defense.
