PHILADELPHIA – Redshirt senior wide receiver Robby Anderson has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2016 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl next month. In his final season, he has become a primary target for the Owls and helped to lead Temple to a 10-3 record and the team's first divisional championship. In the conference championship, he made 12 catches, the most by a Temple player since 1972, for 150 yards and a touchdown. He finished the regular season with 64 catches and 873 yards, second and third best in Owls history.

The fifth-annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl – the only game for the players, by the players – is scheduled for a 6 p.m. ET kickoff from the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills and will air nationally on ESPN2. In addition, American and National Team practices on January 20 and 21 will be televised live on ESPNU. The game and practices will also be available via WatchESPN.

The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl experience is much more than a game for the participating players. For one week, participants will receive an in-depth introduction to their future union. The NFLPA, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2016, is the primary resource for players for information on the business of football and how to succeed in the NFL and in their post-football careers.

Anderson and the Owls will go for a team-record 11th win in the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl against former MAC rival Toledo. Kickoff on Tuesday, December 22nd is 7:00 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN. For tickets and package information, go to owlstix.com.
